Canadian actor Tatiana Maslany came out on top at the 29th Annual TCA Awards on Aug. 3 in Beverly Hills, CA, winning the award for Individual Achievement in Drama.

Maslany was nominated for her role in the series Orphan Black, produced by Temple Street Productions in partnership with BBC America. In the series, she plays a staggering seven different characters, all physical clones with distinct personalities.

Maslany’s competition in the category was fierce – fellow actors nominated included Claire Danes (Homeland), Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife), Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), Keri Russell (The Americans), and Vera Farmiga (Bates Motel).

Bell Media’s Space channel, Orphan Black‘s home in Canada, offered the following congrats to the Regina-born actor in a statement following the awards.

“We are beyond thrilled for not only Tatiana, but the entire Orphan Black team,” said Catherine MacLeod, SVP, Specialty Channels, Bell Media. “This well-deserved win is a testament to Tatiana’s talent, passion, and dedication to the multiple characters she has so masterfully brought to life in the series.”

The second season of Orphan Black will begin in Toronto this fall; CTV is airing an encore run of the series’ first season this summer, starting Aug. 16.
