A total of eight actors have been selected to participate in The Canadian Film Centre’s 2013-2014 Actors Conservatory program, which launches Monday.

This year’s participants are Giacomo Gianiotti, Dan Jeannotte, Kimberly Laferriere, Steven Love, Annie Murphy, Matt Murray, Brooke Palsson and Camille Stopps.

The five-month program is designed to enhance artistic and technical skills and aims to expand actors’ creative and business relationships for the international marketplace.

The actors will be mentored by celebrity guests and industry professionals, who in the past have included actors Kim Cattrall, Patricia Clarkson and Mira Sorvino, directors John Singleton and Paul Haggis, casting director Risa Bramon Garcia and Doubt playwright John Patrick Shanley.
