Devon Soltendieck and Emma Hunter have been named as the host and judge of upcoming game show Pop Quiz, slated to premiere this fall on E!.

Production began on the 60-ep, half-hour pop culture quiz show, which will tape in front of a live audience through mid-August, on Wednesday at Toronto’s Showline Studios. The series is based on Le Cercle, a game show that’s broadcast on TVA in Quebec.

Soltendieck brings his MuchMusic and CP24 hosting experience to the rapid-fire series in which 10 contestants answer random pop culture questions that become increasingly difficult as they vie for a cash prize.

Up-and-coming Canadian comedian Hunter (Comedy Network’s Match Game) will confirm contestants’ answers as the judge.

Pop Quiz is produced by Pixcom Production and Incendo, in association with E! and Bell Media. Nicola Merola, Melanie Riendeau and Cara Volchoff are producers. Jacquelin Bouchard, Sylvie Desrochers, Carole Dufour, Jean Bureau and Ian Whitehead are exec producers.
