Toronto-based non-profit Octavia Films has retooled its short film grants program for 2013.
The program now offers post-production grants of up to $1,000 to emerging, next-gen female filmmakers across Canada.
Films must have a budget of no more than $10,000, with principal photography completed by Aug. 1, 2013. Full details and eligibility are available here.
The grants were previously available to directors and writer-directors to help with production expenses for short films with budgets of no more than $5,000.
Octavia Films, which launched in 2011, aims to provide promotion, education and resources for women in filmmaking.
