Entertainment One has promoted Sandie Don to head of distribution for its Australian film business, Hopscotch.
Based in eOne’s Sydney office, Don will oversee theatrical distribution for Hopscotch/eOne, including acquisitions, sales and marketing.
Previously holding the role of marketing and acquisitions director, she will continue to focus on acquisition and distribution of local and international productions and the commercial lineup from eOne output partners, including Summit and Lakeshore.
Don formed Australian indie film distributor Hopscotch Films with partners Troy Lum and Frank Cox in 2002. It was acquired by eOne in 2011. Prior to joining Hopscotch, she headed up marketing and publicity for Australia’s Dendy Films.
Don will continue to report to Lum, who oversees all film operations in Australia and New Zealand. Her appointment is effective immediately.
