SCN has rechristened Ranjan Thakre as its executive director of content, a new position that combines two senior posts at the Saskatchewan educaster.

‘SCN spent several months consulting with various stakeholders, and recognized it was time to evolve our organizational structure in response to changes in the film and television industry,’ said SCN head Twyla MacDougall in a statement. The move combines the channel’s programming and entertainment departments into one, with Thakre, until recently the communications chief, staying at the channel.

Programming boss Richard Gustin will retire from SCN in April after aiding in the transition.
