Harry, Dinosaurs hit the road

CCI has linked with live-event producer Sphere Entertainment to take its preschooler show Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs on the road as a live musical.

CCI and Sphere — a Toronto outfit that has staged similar adaptations of kiddie shows, including Max & Ruby and Bananas in Pyjamas — said Wednesday that they will take Harry across Canada this year, including stops at the Royal Ontario Museum over the upcoming long weekend. Appearances are also slated for March break and through the summer.

The move into live entertainment coincides with a handful of new publishing deals. CCI has recently signed with Germany’s Helmut Lingen Verlag, Editora Fundamento in Brazil and M&C Kft in Hungary to send Harry story and activity books into those territories.

CCI produces the series with Collingwood O’Hare Entertainment in the U.K., in association with London-based Silver Fox Films.
