Space gets In The Flesh Drama from BBC

Bell Media’s Space has acquired the BBC supernatural drama In The Flesh for a North American premiere from May 18.

The sci-fi specialty channel picked up the Canadian rights to the three-part drama directed by Doctor Who‘s Jonny Campbell.

In The Flesh tells the story of zombie teenager, played by Luke Newberry, and his reintegration back into the local community.

The series is set in a fictional British village after a zombie outbreak where thousands of the dead have been reanimated after months of rehabilitation and medication.

When the zombies are ready to return to their homes and families, they’re haunted by the memories of the atrocities they committed while rabid, and also face extreme hostility from the living.

In the Flesh, which also stars David Walmsley and Emily Bevan, will air over three Saturday nights on Space to June 1.

The BBC series is produced by Ann Harrison Baxter, with Hilary Martin executive producing.
