Joan Lambur is now in charge of the animation division at Breakthrough Films & Television, along with its live-action and family television series.
The Toronto company said Friday that Lambur — previously with Lenz Entertainment and, before that, head of her own distribution and licensing outfit — has been moved into an expanded role that puts her atop the development and production of all new animated and live-action series for kids and families.
She will oversee licensing and merchandising. Lambur was last month attached as executive producer to Breakthrough’s relaunch of its Dudley the Dragon property.
‘Joan’s creativity and inspiring vision lends itself ideally to the continued development of Breakthrough’s animated catalog,’ said Breakthrough boss Ira Levy in a statement.
