The Canadian cop drama Cracked has been sold to ReelzChannel in the U.S. market.
Terms of the deal negotiated by Carrie Stein, who represented the series to U.S. broadcasters, were not available Wednesday.
But the 13-episode series on CBC from White Pine Pictures will air in up to 66 million homes stateside after a promotional push last Fall at MIPCOM led by Cracked co-leads David Sutcliffe and Stefanie von Pfetten.
The Canadian drama portrays a Special Psych Crimes Unit solving psychologically complex crimes.
Cracked was created by writer Tracey Forbes and Calum deHartog.
Executive producers are Peter Raymont, Janice Dawe and Forbes.
Cracked was earlier sold by Germany’s BetaFilm to French broadcaster Groupe Canal+ and companion French Pay TV Channel 13ème Rue Universal / NBCU, as well as Astral’s Québec fiction channel, Séries+.
