Men and Miss brand goes to Nelvana

Nelvana Enterprises has signed a deal with brand management firm Chorion to be the licensing agent for the Mr. Men and Little Miss brand in Canada. The deal covers apparel, toys and live appearances by the characters seen in the best-selling series of children’s books by British author Roger Hargreaves.

An animated TV spin-off, The Mr. Men Show, recently went to air on YTV, which like Nelvana is owed by Corus Entertainment.

‘Corus Entertainment will put our full weight behind the Mr. Men and Little Miss brand,’ said licensing VP Mark Northwood in a statement. ‘This exciting TV series and consumer products property will benefit from the scale of Corus Entertainment in Canada.’
