Entertainment One TV on Monday said it has hired David Shafer as its VP of production.

Shafer’s hiring was effective immediately. While he will be based at the company’s Los Angeles office he will report to Armand Leo, VP production affairs, who is based in Toronto.

In his position, he will focus on the company’s slate of scripted television series including AMC hit, Hell on Wheels, which is lensed in Alberta.

Prior to joining eOne, Shafer served as VP of production at CBS Television Studios, where he managed a variety of scripted pilots and series including Elementary, 90210, The Good Wife, Number3ers, The Game, Criminal Minds and Rules of Engagement.

His experience also includes producing pilots and series including at 20th Century Fox TV Arrested Development, The Winner, Luis, and, for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s Dualstar productions, So Little Time.
