Remstar acquires Canadian rights for The DNA of GSP

Montreal-based producer and distributor Remstar Films has acquired Canadian rights to theatrical documentary The DNA of GSP.

Currently in production, the documentary is produced as a co-venture between Triplex Films, Upside Up Media Group and multiplatform production company Jimmy Lee, a division of media agency Sid Lee.

The DNA of GSP, which will present an “all-access” portrait of UFC champion Georges St-Pierre, is directed by Peter Svatek and Kristian Manchester.

Neil Lucas, producer of the Life and Planet Earth BBC Natural History series, is joining the production team.

Remstar will distribute The DNA of GSP in Canada this fall. eOne is handling rights in all media for the film in Canada, in collaboration with Remstar, with the exception of theatrical, VOD and French-language TV rights in Quebec.

Toronto-based Peace Point Rights in January picked up the global rights to The DNA of GSP.
