MTV goes to College

MTV will premiere two new series next Tuesday, aimed at 12- to 34-year-olds, starting with College Life at 10 p.m. The series puts cameras in the hands of kids as they head into freshman year at the University of Wisconsin, and follows their real-life hookups, breakups and homesickness woes. The 12-part series was developed by former Comedy Network exec Brent Haynes, who is now attached to MTV in the U.S.

At 10:30 p.m., exec producer Mark Burnett’s Bully Beatdown has bully victims enlisting the help of host and pro MMA fighter Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller as they get even. The six-ep series gets inside the heads of 12 victims and their bullies as they seek revenge and retribution.

Full episodes of Bully Beatdown and College Life will also run on mtv.ca.
