Robert Cuffley’s Ferocious opens in Toronto, held over out West

Writer/director Robert Cuffley’s Ferocious is showing staying power at the local multiplex.

The Kim Coates (pictured) and Amanda Crew-starrer is held over for a second week in New Westminster and Saskatoon after opening last weekend.

Ferocious on its second weekend will open in Toronto this Friday at the Empire Theatres Empress Walk theatre.

The thriller is heading into round two after pulling in $3,800 on one screen in Saskatoon on its opening weekend.

Ferocious, which was shot in Saskatchewan, portrays Leigh Parrish (Crew) as a famous actress returned to her hometown to protect her fame as a dark secret is possibly uncovered.

The indie is produced by Chaos a Film Company and KarmaFilm.

Elsewhere in Vancouver, Kirk Caouette’s Hit ‘n Strum from 4 Branch Productions and Middle Child Films was also held over for a second week at Fifth Avenue Cinemas.
