Gordon Pinsent has joined the cast of the romantic comedy At Home By Myself… with You, currently in post-production for Toronto’s Pocket Change Films.
The stage and screen veteran will voice the narrator in the film, which marks newcomer Kris Booth’s feature directorial debut. Pinsent is repped by Penny Noble at Noble Caplan Abrams.
The film stars recent Genie winner Kristin Booth (Young People Fucking) as a multi-phobia-plagued single woman who has not stepped out of her apartment for six years, until she meets an attractive new neighbor, played by Aaron Abrams, who starred alongside her in YPF. The film also features Rosemary Dunsmore (The Baby Formula) and Shauna MacDonald (Testees).
‘It’s an honor to have Gordon Pinsent onboard this project as the narrator. His participation reminds me why we are doing this film in the first place… when everyone else said he wouldn’t do our film; he was the one who said ‘yes’,’ commented Booth in a release.
The film wrapped production in November in Toronto. The filmmakers hope to debut At Home at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival.
