Canucks take top U.S. awards

Several Canadians are among the recipients of numerous industry awards handed out in the U.S. last weekend.

At the Writers Guild of America Awards Sunday, Semi Chellas took the best episodic drama prize for her work alongside Matthew Wiener on Mad Men (the episode The Other Woman) while Ted Mann took the best original long form prize for his work alongside Ronald Parker on Hatfields & McCoys (the episode Nights Two and Three).

Meanwhile, over at the Cinema Audio Society kudos fest held in L.A. Saturday, the prize for outstanding achievement in sound mixing for a television movie or mini-series went to the Hatfields & McCoys‘  sound mixing and re-recording teams that included Toronto-based Christian Cooke and Brad Zoern.
