The Jutra’s prizes will be handed out at a gala event in Montreal Mar. 17.

Several other films notched multiple nominations, unveiled Thursday, including Rafaël Ouellet’s Truck at seven; both Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette’s Inch’Allah and Simon Lavoie’s Torrent tied at six; and the three-way tie up of Luc Picard’s Ésimésac, Martin Villeneuve’s Mars et Avril and Ivan Grbovic’s Romeo Eleven at five.

As well, six films are vying for the Golden Ticket award, handed to the best film of 2012 based on a weighting system that takes into consideration not only box office sales but also festival entries, award wins and international distribution sales. In that race are: Bestiaire, Truck, Laurence Anyways, Monsieur Lazhar, Starbuck and Rebel.
