Canadian actor Elias Koteas has signed on as a series regular in AMC’s The Killing revival set to shoot in Vancouver.

Koteas, whose credits include Combat Hospital and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, will play role of Ed Skinner, the ex-police partner of homicide detective Sarah Linden, played by Mireille Enos.

AMC last summer cancelled The Killing after two seasons, but has decided to resurrect the series for a third season of 13 episodes from showrunner Veena Sud.

Other third season cast include Joel Kinnaman, who returns from the first two seasons, and Billy Campbell and Michelle Forbes.
