CTV gives Motive a Super Bowl push

CTV is giving new Canadian production Motive a Super Bowl push, airing the first episode of the new show on Sunday Feb. 3 following its simulcast of Super Bowl XLVII.

The new crime drama, which stars Kristen Lehman (The Killing), Louis Ferreira (SGU Stargate Universe) and Lauren Holly (NCIS) was also featured in a sneak peek promo during last night’s series finale of Flashpoint.

Motive is produced by Vancouver-based Foundation Features and Lark Productions. The series is exec produced by Daniel Cerone, who wrote the pilot, Louise Clark, Rob Merilees, Erin Haskett, Rob LaBelle, Lindsay Macadam and showrunner James Thorpe. The series was developed for TV by Merilees, LaBelle, Clark and Haskett.

NBCUniversal International will distribute the series internationally.

Motive settles into its mid-season timeslot on Sunday night at 9 p.m. on Feb. 10.
