In a deal with StudioCanal, Entertainment One has acquired the North American all media distribution rights to Big Talk’s romantic comedy, Cuban Fury.

Directed by James Griffiths and starring Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz; pictured), Rashida Jones (The Social Network), Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids), Ian McShane (Snow White and the Huntsman) and Olivia Colman (Tyrannosaur), Cuban Fury is produced by Nira Park and James Biddle for Big Talk.

The London-based prodco’s credits include Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World, as well as the upcoming films Sightseers.

The film has been co developed and co-financed by Studiocanal and Film4. The BFI also co-financed the film. Studiocanal will release the film in its territories.

The deal was negotiated by Studiocanal’s Harold Van Lier and eOne’s Jo Sweby.

Cuban Fury is expected to hit North American theatres in 2013.
