Lost Girl third season January launch to include special, new app

Showcase’s Lost Girl returns for a third season on Jan. 6 at 9 p.m., and will be preceded by Lost Girl ConFAEdential, a one-hour catch-up special that includes candid off-camera scenes at 8 p.m.

The third-season premiere welcomes new cast member, Rachel Skarsten (The Vow, Flashpoint), who plays a thrill-seeking, sexy new Fae who ruffles many feathers, and sees the start of a guest star appearance by Linda Hamilton (The Terminator, Beauty and the Beast) as a tough and ruthless assassin.

As part of the rollout, showcase.ca will launch a new mobile app, Lost Girl: The Game in January. It will offer an original storyline, written by the show’s writing staff, and invite fans to create a customized Fae character which they can use to navigate a mystery set in the world of Lost Girl.

Lost Girl was developed by Prodigy Pictures in association with Shaw Media and Showcase. Executive producers are Jay Firestone, Emily Andras, Plato Fountidakis, and Paul Rapovski. James Thorpe is co-executive producer, Vanessa Piazza is co-producer and Wanda Chaffey is producer.

It is produced with the participation of the Canada Media Fund and support from tax credits.
