Rogers Media has acquired the Warner Bros. Domestic Television comedy Mike & Molly, which was previously with CTV.
The move gives Citytv stations from January 2013 the complete CBS comedy block to simulcast on Monday nights, which includes How I Met Your Mother and 2 Broke Girls.
CTV freed up the Melissa McCarthy and Bill Gardell sitcom from Chuck Lorre due to an apparent scheduling clash with popular reality series The Voice and Dancing With the Stars.
CTV is also making room for Fox’ upcoming The Following series. Mike & Molly will still have a home at CTV as it retains the syndication rights.
Citytv also has a two-hour Fox comedy block simulcast on Tuesday nights and ABC’s comedy block on Wednesday night, which includes the Modern Family juggernaut.
Lorre’s two other hit comedies, Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory, remain as anchor comedies on the CTV schedule.
