Avi Federgreen’s Indiecan Entertainment and Anchor Bay Entertainment Canada have acquired the Canadian home entertainment rights to the horror film Grave Encounters 2.

Director John Poliquin’s sequel to the 2011 found footage horror film Grave Encounters will be released in 2013.

Grave Encounters 2, written by Colin Minihan and Stuart Ortiz, was shot in Vancouver, stars Richard Harmon and Sean Rogerson.

The horror sequel portrays a young film student obsessed with the story of a missing TV crew, and who persuades his friends to break into a psychiatric hospital at night.

Grave Encounters 2 had it Canadian bow at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival.
