Laura Di Battista is out as host of CBC Radio One’s Here and Now afternoon show.
“Laura had a good two-year run with Here and Now, but we’ve decided to make some changes with the show,” CBC head of radio and audio Chris Boyce told Playback late Thursday.
Di Battista was absent from Thursday’s Here and Now program, and her departure was announced at the end of the show by the replacement host with a terse statement.
Boyce said a search for a new Here and Now host is in the works.
Di Battista came to the CBC after a long stint as an on-air host at Citytv.
At Here and Now, she replaced Matt Galloway when he took the chair behind the host’s microphone at CBC’s morning show, Metro Morning.
