Canadian specialty distributors Raven Banner Entertainment and 108 Media have acquired the world sales rights, excluding North America, to Resolution, from directors Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson.
“Resolution is an amazing genre bender from two great up and coming talents in Moorhead and Benson,” Raven Banner managing partner Michael Paszt said Thursday in a statement.
Tribeca Film earlier took the American and Canadian rights to the genre pic from XYZ Films about two friends trapped in an isolated cabin as one of them attempts to beat a drug addiction.
Tribeca plans a 2013 release of Resolution in theatres and on VOD.
108 Media and Raven Banner Entertainment announced at the Toronto International Film Festival that they will jointly acquire genre film titles for worldwide sales.
The new venture has an initial slate of three films aimed at a fanboy market, including Markus Blunder’s Autumn Blood, and Abe Levy’s Deep Dark Canyon.
