Gersh signs Sean Garrity for U.S. representation

Winnipeg director Sean Garrity has signed with Gersh for stateside representation.

That move follows the world premiere of My Awkward Sexual Adventure at the Toronto International Film Festival, where the Los Angeles talent agency first spotted the movie and its director.

Two Garrity titles will screen at the Whistler Film Festival as part of its Borsos competition.

First is the thriller Blood Pressure, about an unhappy wife who starts receiving anonymous notes enticing her to perform certain inexplicable acts of voyeurism on a mysterious young man, that stars Michelle Giroux, Tatiana Maslany and Jonas Chernick.

And My Awkward Sexual Adventure, which sees Chernick in the lead role as a straight-laced accountant who enlists the aid of an exotic dancer to win back his unsatisfied girlfriend, will also compete in Whistler.

Garrity is represented in Canada by Great North Artists Management.
