Toronto’s Bloor Hot Docs Cinema (pictured) will next month premiere a newly restored version of the iconic Up documentary series, playing six installments in a two-day marathon.

The British series is considered one of the most significant documentary productions ever made, and began in 1964 when a group of 14 seven-year-old children interviewed by director Paul Almond. Every seven years since, director Michael Apted has revisited the subjects, capturing the ways in which their personalities and perspectives have evolved.

The Bloor Hot docs will play newly restored prints of Seven Up!, 7 Plus Seven, 21 Up and 28 Up on October 13, with 35 Up, 42 Up, and 49 Up following on October 14.

The theater will screen the latest installment 56 Up, which premiered on British TV earlier this year, in December.
