Douglas Smith, Allie MacDonald (pictured) and Michael Lee Aday, better known by his stage name Meat Loaf, have joined the cast of Stage Fright from writer/director Jerome Sable and Serendipity Point Films.
Smith plays Buddy Swanson, MacDonald plays his sister Camilla Swanson and Aday will perform the role of Roger McCall, the director of Camp Center Stage.
The musical about a snobby musical theater camp terrorized by a blood-thirsty masked killer who despises musical theatre is set to start shooting in Ontario on Sept. 6.
Sable created the music for the indie film and wrote the lyrics with Eli Batalion.
Sable’s horror-musical short film The Legend of Beaver Dam premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and screened as part of the Midnight Madness sidebar at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Ari Lantos and Jonas Bell Pasht will produce Stage Fright, with Entertainment One releasing the movie domestically.
