Liza Drozdov has been promoted to vice-president at The Holmes Group, Canadian celebrity TV handyman Mike Holmes’ production shingle, it was announced Wednesday.
Drosdov will oversee all aspects of brand development, television production, and the Mike Holmes Inspections and Holmes Homes programs and initiatives, according to a company release.
Drozdov joined the company in 2005 as director of communications, managing marketing initiatives, media relations and internal communications, and overseeing product and TV launches and partnership agreements.
She previously worked in studio and field television production for Fusion Television and Alliance Atlantic Broadcasting, and also worked at the CHUM Radio Network.
Drozdov takes her post effective immediately.
Michael Quast, formerly the company’s CEO, departed The Holmes Group last month.
The move followed a restructuring of the company’s production shingle in November, which saw Quast named as sole CEO of The Holmes Group, and former co-CEO Pete Kettlewell tapped to head up new indie production company Point Load Pictures.
