The Canadian Film Centre has announced the filmmakers and projects selected for the 2012 Comedy Bootcamp Feature Pitch, which will take place July 26 during the Just for Laughs Comedy Conference in Montreal.

Neville Ponderosa, from Buffalo Gal Pictures’ Liz Jarvis and writer Celery Kovinsky; The Main Attraction from Bad Astronaut Inc.’s Bill Niven and Jay Dahl and writer Scott Vrooman; and Candy Man from Pope Productions’ Paul Pope and writer Sherry White were all selected for the CFC program.

Each team will make a five-minute pitch to a panel of comedy experts, including writer Will Reiser (50/50), producer Joe Medjuck (Old School) and writer Shauna Cross (Whip It).

And U.S. screenwriter Etan Cohen (Men in Black 3) will take part in a Master Class about the feature comedy filmmaking process, presented by the Harold Greenberg Fund in collaboration with the Telefilm Canada Features Comedy Lab.

The Just for Laughs Comedy Conference takes place July 26 to 28, during the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, which runs July 12 to 29, 2012.
