Toronto-based digital post-production service house Redlab Digital has expanded its operations to acquire Soho Post’s commercial post-pro services and 3D VFX co Alchemy’s design and animation division.

The acquisitions make Redlab Digital a full-service picture post-production facility, according to a release from Redlab.

“Redlab was built on a client by client relationship level, and we’re excited to follow the same philosophy with our new commercial offering,” said Redlab partner and managing director Johnny Megalos in a statement.

As part of the operation expansion, Redlab has also hired on Laurie Kerr-Jones as exec producer of its commercial division.
