Entertainment One’s U.S. division is taking a better crack at sales to American chain stores by hiring former Lionsgate exec Patrick McDonough to ramp up its home entertainment division.
McDonough becomes senior vice president, home entertainment sales, reporting to Michael Rosenberg, president of Entertainment One Films U.S.
His hiring follows McDonough’s working as senior vice president of sales for Lionsgate, where he oversaw sales relationships with major U.S. retailers like Walmart, the world’s largest DVD retailer, Target, Best Buy and Amazon.
McDonough earlier served as senior vice president of retail sales at Artisan Pictures, before it was acquired by Lionsgate.
Entertainment One is also hiring Suzanne Faber as director, children’s marketing, reporting to Walter Schmidt, vice president, marketing and product development for U.S. home entertainment.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Patrick and Suzanne to our team as we expand our home entertainment business,” Rosenberg said Monday in a statement.
