Montreal’s Remstar Films has snapped up the Canadian rights to Don Jon’s Addiction (pictured) from writer/director Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Two Mothers, by director Anne Fontaine.
And as part of a recent output deal, Entertainment One will release the two films in Canada, excluding theatrical, VOD and French-language TV rights in Quebec, which Remstar will handle.
Currently in production, Don Jon’s Addiction stars Scarlett Johansson, Gordon-Levitt and Julianne Moore, and portrays a contemporary, porn-addicted Don Juan-type as he attempts to become less selfish.
And Two Mothers, written by Christopher Hampton, stars Naomi Watts, Robin Wright, James Frecheville and Xavier Samuel, and tells the story of childhood friends and neighbors falling for each other’s sons.
