First came Telefilm Canada’s success index.

Now the Canada Media Fund has unveiled Canadaonscreen.ca, a website that aims to showcase and celebrate Canadian screen-based productions at home and abroad.

CMF president and CEO Valerie Creighton said Monday that Canada produces TV shows and interactive content that is consumed widely at home and abroad.

Canadaonscreen.ca, which is connected to the CMF website, will act asa promotional tool to highlight the success of the great content you produce,” Creighton told delegates at the Banff World Media Festival on Monday morning.

“It’s important for us to recognize the contribution of Canada to the global entertainment industry and this site was designed to promote our talents and to rally Canadians behind screen-based productions,” she added.

The new marketing initiates features several productions that received financial support from the CMF, earning them a dedicated page.

Visitors will be able to learn more about each production and access information about the show’s content, broadcast information, a video preview and selected press coverage.

Creighton told Banff delegates that they were living through a time of unprecedented change.

“These challenges and opportunities will help us grow and prosper,” she added.
