eOne inks first-look deal with Bob Cooper’s Landscape Ent

Entertainment One announced Monday a partnership with veteran producer Bob Cooper’s (pictured) production company in the U.S., Landscape Entertainment.

Landscape Entertainment will develop new scripted projects for the U.S. and international TV markets under the new agreement, and eOne will act as the studio and deficit financier and handle worldwide distribution for projects developed as part of the agreement.

“Bob is an exceptionally talented executive with superb taste and instincts and extraordinary salesmanship and packaging skills,” said eOne Television CEO John Morayniss in a statement, adding that the partnership will “bring compelling television programming to a global marketplace.”

Cooper’s team at Landscape Entertainment, to be based out of eOne’s L.A. offices, will include the current head of feature films, Tyler Mitchell, and a new TV development executive.

eOne’s current series include Call Me Fitz (HBO Canada), Hell on Wheels (AMC), and Rookie Blue (Global) and upcoming Saving Hope (CTV), which are both part of eOne’s first-look pact with producer Ilana Frank and her company  Ilana C Frank Films.
