Since new original content providers pop up every week with fare that can be viewed, played with and shared on an ever-growing menu of devices and platforms business models are constantly playing catch-up.

In the face of this unprecedented disruptive market change, Senior Partner and Chief Imaginator, InnoSpa International, Alexander Manu, will address how to strengthen and diversify Canada’s film, TV and digital content production and distribution business, with a focus on how to monetize content by seizing opportunities in today’s broadcast, online, gaming and mobile spaces.

The keynote addresses how to be nimble and innovative in this fast-changing landscape, with examples of successful companies and strategies that show the way forward. Manu reveals how companies should reorient their business models to benefit from the changing media environment and how to future-proof your strategy for emerging tech advances such as interactive, social and addressable TV, as well as tapping into the shared-interest audiences that are self-compiling (consider how to harness the explosive-growth potential of communities like Pinterest and Instagram) and working collaboratively with next gen tech.

Manu teaches “Innovation, Foresight and Business Design” at the Rotman School of Management, is a Professor at the OCAD University in Toronto and a visiting lecturer at the Wallace McCain Institute for Entrepreneurship. He has written several books, including Disruptive Business: Desire, Innovation and the Re-Design of Business.
