Citytv has announced the addition of new drama Scandal to its Thursday night lineup at 10 p.m.

Kerry Washington stars as a former communications director to the president of the United States who leaves the White House to open a crisis management firm.

The show is written and co-executive produced by Shonda Rhimes, who created Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice.

The show premieres on April 5 and takes the spot of Private Practice as it ends its new episodes for the season.
