Jennifer Harkness is leaving Temple Street Productions as head of development, factual and reality, to join Jumpwire Media, which she co-founded with Gavin McGarry.

A Temple Street spokeswoman confirmed Harkness’ departure on Wednesday.

While at the indie producer, Harkness spearheaded development on reality shows like Recipe to Riches for Food Network Canada and Global Television, and Cover Me Canada for the CBC.

Before joining Temple Street, Harkness served as executive director of the then Banff World TV Festival.

At the same time, Harkness also partnered with McGarry to launch the Cross Media NYC and Cross Media Toronto conferences.

Cross Media Toronto was held in partnership with Toronto’s Mars Centre and Norman Jewison’s Canadian Film Centre.
