Image Entertainment has picked up the U.S. rights to The Tall Man, the Canada-France thriller that stars Jessica Biel and is co-produced by Regina-based Minds Eye Entertainment.
The deal includes theatrical, home entertainment, digital, VOD and broadcast rights to the Regina and B.C.-shot $15-million psychological thriller, a treaty co-production with Radar Films and Forecast Pictures out of France.
The film, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and screened last week at SXSW in Austin, also stars Jodelle Ferland (The Cabin in the Woods), Stephen McHattie (Immortals, 2012), William B. Davis (The X-Files), Samantha Ferris (Along Came a Spider) and Katherine Ramdeen (The World).
The Tall Man is written and directed by Pascal Laugier, and produced by Minds Eye’s Kevin DeWalt, Clement Miserez of Radar Films (Paris), Jean-Charles Levy of Forecast Pictures (Paris), and Scott Kennedy of Highwire Pictures (Vancouver).
The film is being distributed by Alliance in Canada, and internationally by Paris-based Societe Nouvelle de Distribution.
