The Canadian Film Centre has announced the winners of the third Reel Challenge content.
Gerald Patrick Fantone from Toronto won the $10,000 first prize for his short, This Film, a look at the numerous people required to bring a film production to life.
Alex Sikorsky from Toronto took the $3000 second place prize for the PSA short film Superheroes, and Jesse Ewles of Toronto took the $2000 third place prize for Film Truck.
The competition’s theme this year focused on the movie and television industry at work, with filmmakers producing short films showcasing the importance of the Canadian production industry.
The Reel Challenge contest is an initiative of the CFC, supported by the Copyright Collective of Canada.
