Plummer snags a SAG award

Christopher Plummer is seeing red this winter.

Red carpets, that is, as the 82-year-old actor continues to rake in the accolades for his performance as Hal Fields, a widower who reveals he is gay to his son.

Plummer last night won another best supporting actor award for his performance as Hal at the Screen Actors Guild gala in L.A.

He recently won his first Golden Globe for the performance, and has been nominated for an Oscar as well. Plummer was also acknowledged with a best supporting actor nod by the Toronto Film Critics Association earlier this month.

The SAG Awards are considered by many to be a bellwether to the Oscars, which will be awarded on Feb. 26.
