Production equipment supplier William F. White International has promoted Cherylene Merlo to manager of Whites Interactive.

Merlo, most recently a booker of specialty equipment rentals for production shoots, will now oversee rentals of WFW interactive equipment, especially Viral Vans for on-the-go digital filmmaking.

The WFW interactive division serves local digital content production from studio shoots to run and gun productions.

Merlo came to WFW three years ago after working in on-set production, where her credits included The Hulk, Silent Hill and Hairspray.

She will report to Rick Perotto, VP of business development for Comweb Corp. and WFW.

Elsewhere in the Canadian production supply business, Sim Video has hired Marty Meyer to replace Cliff Hsui as the camera department manager in its Los Angeles office.

Meyer previously worked at Birns & Sawyer as the director of digital development and director of marketing, and at Wexler Video as director of engineering.
