Distribution360 has sold the CGI animated series Olive the Ostrich from indie producer Blue-Zoo to Nick Jr. in Australia and New Zealand.
The preschool series, narrated by Australian-born entertainer Rolf Harris, will launch down under in early 2012 after securing impressive ratings when it launched last September on Nick Jr. in the UK.
Olive the Ostrich portrays a young ostrich named Olive who goes on adventures to imaginary places.
Animators bring to life real pictures drawn and submitted by children, which are then integrated into the TV show.
The deal was unveiled by Stéphanie Röckmann-Portier, the Belgium-based head of sales at Distribution360 and Hugh Baldwin, director of television and digital content for Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand.
