Entertainment One (eOne) has unveiled a partnership with U.K.-based Impossible Pictures to codevelop and coproduce new factual TV series aimed at the U.S., Canadian and British markets.

They will focus on a commercial documentary slate that includes Traffic, Martian Wars and The First – A WW1 Series out of the gates.

Entertainment One and Impossible Pictures already coproduced The Last War Heroes, a WWII doc series for History Television in Canada and Channel Four and UKTV in Britain.

“We’re thrilled to deepen our relationship with Impossible and want to build upon the success of our recent coproduction,” Michael Kot, SVP of factual at Entertainment One Television said in a statement Monday.

The codevelopment pact is the latest move by Canadian producers to share TV production risk and resources with international partners as they develop and produce series for the world market.
