Expect more carnage: AMC’s The Walking Dead, distributed by Entertainment One internationally, has secured a third season order.
The U.S. channel gave the U.S. zombie drama a speedy reorder after the Oct. 16 premiere of season two broke basic cable records for viewers in the 18 to 49 demo.
Entertainment One retains the global TV, digital and DVD rights to the series, excluding North America.
The Walking Dead was adapted from the Robert Kirkman comic book series, and launched by AMC and Fox International Channels.
Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert and Frank Darabont serve as executive producers on the zombie drama.
