Samantha Bee (The Daily Show) and Lolita Davidovich are starring the new season of Good Dog, from writer/director Ken Finkleman and Shaftesbury Films.
The sitcom’s sophomore season on HBO Canada, or 10 episodes, will see Bee play a ditzy morning show host, Shandy Sommers, while a returning and still neurotic TV producer George Findlay (Finkleman) reconnects with a socialite he had a fling with 20 years earlier, played by Davidovich.
The Good Dog second season is now shooting in Toronto, to bow on HBO Canada next year.
Shaftesbury’s Jan Peter Meyboom is producing the second season of Good Dog.
The series, created by Finkleman, has financing from The Movie Network, Movie Central, the Canada Media Fund, Rogers Cable Network Fund, and tax credits.
Shaftesbury Sales Company shops the series outside of Canada.
