ACTRA National has a new regional executive director, naming Daintry Dalton to the role.
Dalton, based in Montreal, most recently served as commercials steward and assistant Montreal branch representative for the actors’ union. She’s been with ACTRA for 31 years and has also worked as its principal resource for regional branch staff and members working under the National Commercial Agreement.
Her new role will see her helm the union’s operation of regional branches including administration and enforcement of ACTRA’s collective agreements.
“During her time with ACTRA, Daintry has demonstrated a strong commitment to performers and I know she will continue to excel in this new and challenging position representing ACTRA and its membership,” said ACTRA’s national executive director Stephen Waddell in a statement.
Dalton succeeds Raymond Guardia, who left the union to work for New Democratic Party.
