The National Screen Institute has promoted Melissa Kajpust to director of programming.
Kajpust joined the NSI as its Drama Prize program manager this past February and had co-developed and co-managed its Aboriginal training program NSI New Voices between 2005 and 2008.
Also a published children’s author, she has previously worked on and developed programs for CTV, W, Slice, A channels, APTN, Treehouse, Citytv, YTV and Movie Central.
She’s also served as a development executive for Super Channel and Frantic Films.
Kajpust replaces Liz Janzen, who left the NSI in June to pursue a screenwriting career.
