BuzzTaxi secures global factual sales

A slate of factual programs from Toronto distributor BuzzTaxi Communications will soon be hitting the airwaves across the globe.

In North America, PBS in the US has snapped up Rude: Where Are Our Manners? (1 x 60) while Canuck pubcaster RDI has taken the French-language rights to Polygamy’s Lost Boys (1 x 60 mins) from Bountiful Films.

CBC digi channel Documentary now has The Naked Archaeologist (52 x 30 mins, pictured) from Associated Producers, while season five of the same series is headed for Spektrum in Hungary and Czech Republic.

Discovery’s DMAX in Germany/Austria has acquired seasons two and three of Survivorman (23 x 60 mins) from Survivorman Productions, and season three is going to Japan’s Fox Channels.

Also in Asia, The Real Vampire Files (1 x 60 mins, HD) from MDF Productions will air on China’s LIC. It has also been picked up by Globosat in Brazil along with another special from the same prodco, The Real Jack The Ripper (1 x 60 mins, HD).

Rounding out BuzzTaxi’s sales are a group of factual entertainment series from Firvalley Productions, including the first two seasons of Killer Comebacks (26 x 30 mins) to Nonstop Television for Scandinavia, Benelux and Africa, and Decorating Adventures of Ambrose Price (26 x 30 mins) to The Home Channel in South Africa.
